By accessing or using Findback, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Findback is a community-driven platform for the University of Central Punjab (UCP).

Do's

  • • Post accurate descriptions of found items.
  • • Use verification questions to ensure items go to their rightful owners.
  • • Communicate respectfully with other UCP members.

Don'ts

  • • Do not make false claims on items that are not yours.
  • • Do not demand money or rewards for returning items.
  • • Do not post inappropriate or unrelated content.

1. Platform Purpose

Findback is provided strictly as a technological utility to help connect individuals who have found lost items on the UCP campus with those who have lost them. Findback does not take possession of any lost items, nor do we guarantee the recovery of any lost item.

2. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • Accounts found engaging in fraudulent claims, harassment, or spam will be permanently banned by the administration.

3. Posting Items

When posting a found item, you agree to provide an honest representation of the item. To protect the original owner, you must utilize the "Verification Question" feature to ensure the person claiming the item can prove ownership (e.g., "What is the background image on the phone screen?").

Important: Under no circumstances should you demand financial compensation or a "reward" for returning an item on this platform. Findback is a free community service.

4. Limitation of Liability

Findback acts solely as a communication bridge. We are not legally liable for:

  • The condition of the items returned.
  • Items that are claimed by the wrong person due to insufficient verification.
  • Any disputes arising between finders and seekers.
  • Loss, theft, or damage of property while in the possession of the finder.

Users are encouraged to meet in safe, public, and well-lit areas on the UCP campus when handing over items.

5. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any legal disputes related to the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lahore, Pakistan.

6. Modifications

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
